I for a few months now have been trying to figure out what to do with this website. Ideas have ranged from returning to a regular weekly podcast to deleting the website entirely.
As many of your know, Kristen and I had a weekly podcast for 2 years here. I loved doing the show and interacting with our audience when we did a uStream of the show. Sadly, many variables came into play that prevented us from continuing the show including taking care of a foster baby for 6 months and having numerous shift changes at work.
What I have decided to do is take Catholics Down Yonder into a different direction in new media. As many of you know, I write a separate blog called TupeloGeek which is more of a secular based blog about technology, entertainment, and life planning. What I really want to do is blog about my faith and share it with everyone without the production and time that a podcast can take.
So I am happy to announce today that Catholics Down Yonder will become a dedicated Catholic blog. Not only will it be me writing for it, but from time to time I will have contributors writing posts as well. Also if there is time for the occasional podcast, it will be here as well. If you are wondering about the previous episodes of Tupelo Catholic/Catholics Down Yonder, they are still here as well as in iTunes. So that is the news, as always I look forward to your feedback and continued readership of Catholics Down Yonder.
