So on Friday we went down to New Orleans to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. I charged my iPhone 4 overnight like I usually do and we made the 2 hour drive from Hattiesburg where we are staying, to New Orleans. As we were driving, I noticed something odd was happening...my iPhone battery life was going down pretty quickly. By the time we got to New Orleans, I had about 70% of my battery life left after being off the charger for tops, 2 1/2 hours. This is very unusual, later in the day when my iPhone finally shut itself down when it reached 1%, I asked my wife how much her 3GS iPhone had and she said 85%.
Well, as it turns out, this makes sense in light of an article I read regarding iOS 4.3 and decreased battery life on the iPhone. My wife's 3GS has not been updated to 4.3 yet.
Hopefully an update to fix it will be around the corner, in the meantime, it is suggested to turn off Ping and Game Center in the Restrictions settings if you are out and about with your iPhone and far from a charger that is.
If you are having a similar issue, let me know.
